The project outline must contain a brief description of the project, explain how it relates to which SDG and provide details of the project partnership. It must also give a rough estimate of the total project expenditure and specify how the partners’ share of the funding is to be financed (for each year).
The project outline document can be submitted at any time but no later than eight weeks before the next application deadline.

Consistency in the composition of the groups is key to ensuring that Teams up! youth exchange projects are successful and of a high standard. The AGYO therefore considers it important to provide the participating organisations in Germany and Africa with criteria that can help both to improve the likelihood of entrance visas for Germany being granted and to ensure that the African participants are willing to return to their respective partner country concerned.
Important information: To facilitate the visa process, you can request two visa support letters from us:
(a) General visa support letter in English. This letter describes the program Teams up! Youth Exchanges for Sustainable Development. You can easily request it from us by e-mail.
b) Personalized visa support letter in German language. The letter lists the participants as well as group leaders with names and concrete details and will be issued individually for you. For this purpose, you will need the "Participant List for the Visa Support Letter" which is available for download. As soon as the participants of the group from the partner country have been determined, we ask you to fill out this list of participants and send it to us by e-mail. You will then receive the personalized visa support letter as a PDF and a signed original with the request to forward it to the respective embassy.
Due to existing travel and safety warnings, no international personal encounters have been able to take place within the grant programme since the beginning of the Corona pandemic. However, personal encounters can be resumed if the following criteria are met.
